SHARING EXPERIENCE ON RISK MANAGEMENT (HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT) TO DESIGN FUTURE INDUSTRIAL SYSTEMS

Research project within the 6th EU framework program, Nanotechnologies and Nanosciences, Knowledge-based Multifunctional Materials and New Production Processes and Devices.

Period:

2004 - 2007

Project coordinator:

INERIS
(Institut National de l’Environement Industriel et des Risques)
France

Goal:

The main objective of SHAPE-RISK is to establish the basis for a further sustained development of European industry, and to do so by optimizing the application of methods of risk management.   The following specialist areas are considered for this purpose:

Shape Risk Procedure

Figure 1: Process

Using the procedure shown in Figure 1, the first step of the process involves collecting the required information out of the above named specialist areas, so that, in a second step, an optimized procedure for risk management can then be developed. These activities require the establishment of an information network which, in addition to the named institutions, will have additional participants. The project addresses all facilities or institutions that have experience in risk management (with respect to the subject areas named).   Further information concerning the research project, or how you can support the projects. are provided here (52 KB).
